How it’s calculated
We run your keyword through YouTube’s official search API for the country you chose, take the top 50 video results, and find the position of your video — or, if you entered a channel, of the channel’s highest-placed video.
YouTube personalises what each viewer sees based on their history, so a real person’s results can differ. This shows the neutral, logged-out ranking YouTube’s API returns.
