How it’s calculated
We read the public profile and its 30 most recent posts (reposts excluded), then work out:
- Average and median views — X shows a view count under every post.
- Engagement rate = (likes + replies + reposts + quotes + bookmarks) ÷ views.
- Views per follower — how far a typical post reaches.
- Posting pace and the time since the last post.
Views per follower on X
On X, most followers never see a given post. Views per follower shows how much of the audience a typical post actually reaches, which says more about an account’s pull than the follower count alone.
Engagement from public numbers
We use the engagements anyone can see. X’s own analytics also count clicks and profile visits, which only the author sees, so its engagement rate is usually a little higher than ours.
Vetting an account
