Endorsements turn claims into credibility

Anyone can list "Project Management" or "Python" on a profile. Endorsements are what tell a recruiter or hiring manager that other people vouch for it. A skill with 40 endorsements reads as a genuine strength; the same skill with none looks like something you typed in yourself. When someone scans your profile to decide whether you're the real thing, endorsed skills carry the weight.

How delivery works

Endorsements attach to skills already listed on your profile, so add the ones you want strengthened before you order. They're spread across those skills and built up over eight to twelve days, so they accumulate the way real endorsements would rather than all landing on one afternoon.

A worked example

A data analyst applying for senior roles lists SQL, Python, Tableau and stakeholder management as her top skills, then orders 100 endorsements ($76) concentrated on those four. By the time recruiters open her profile, her core skills look proven rather than self-declared.

How recruiters use skills

Recruiters on LinkedIn filter candidates by skills, and your listed skills feed into how you appear in their searches. Skills with endorsements also show social proof right on your profile. That's why naming skills exactly as they appear in job descriptions - "Salesforce", not "CRM tools" - and backing the important ones with endorsements helps you get found and taken seriously.
