A worked example

How many comments to order

Comments look right when they fit the video's other numbers. Most videos get far fewer comments than likes, and far fewer likes than views. Use the video's current view count as your guide:

• Under 1,000 views: 10 comments is enough to start a thread.
• A few thousand views: 20 to 50 comments.
• Tens of thousands of views: 50 to 100, ideally over several days.

On a brand-new upload, add views and likes as well, so a busy comment section does not sit under a video with almost no views.
