The viewing minutes monetisation asks for

Facebook lets eligible creators earn from their videos, and for years the best-known condition for in-stream ads was 600,000 minutes viewed across your videos in the previous 60 days, alongside a follower requirement. For most Pages, piling up that much viewing organically is the slow part. Watch time is how you close the gap.

Meta has reshaped its monetisation programmes more than once, and requirements differ by programme and country. So before ordering, check your Professional Dashboard for the numbers that apply to you today - then pick the package that gets you there.

The 600,000-minute package is by far the best value per minute - it covers the full long-standing threshold for less than twice the price of the 60,000 option. The smaller packages make sense when you're already close and only need to top up.

Delivery takes five to seven days - on purpose

Viewing minutes have to build up believably across your videos. Hundreds of thousands appearing in an afternoon would look wrong, so delivery is spread over five to seven days. That's slower than our other Facebook services, and it's meant to be.

What your Page needs

• Public videos - private or friends-only videos don't count.
• A public Page or profile link we can use.
• Videos staying up while delivery runs, so the minutes have somewhere to land.

Longer videos make it easier for watch time to accumulate naturally, which is also true of organic viewing.

An honest note on monetisation

Watch time is one requirement. Meta also reviews Pages for its partner and content-monetisation policies, and it makes the final decision on eligibility. This service helps you reach a viewing threshold; it can't guarantee approval, and we'd rather say so plainly than promise something no provider controls.

How to work out what you need

1. Open your Professional Dashboard and find the monetisation or eligibility section.
2. Note the viewing-minutes target for the programme you're applying to, and how many minutes you already have in the current window.
3. Subtract to find the gap, and choose the smallest package that covers it with a little to spare.

A worked example: a cooking Page shows 410,000 minutes against a 600,000-minute target. The gap is 190,000 minutes. The 180,000-minute package ($41) would fall just short, while the 600,000-minute package costs $46 and covers the gap several times over - for $5 more, it's the obvious choice.

Keep the window in mind

Viewing thresholds are usually measured over a rolling period, often 60 days. Minutes delivered more than that long ago drop out of the count, so order when you're ready to apply rather than months in advance.

After you pay

Delivery runs over five to seven days. Check progress on the track order page with your checkout email, and watch your dashboard's minutes figure climb. Keep your videos public and online until it completes.
