The empty-stream problem
Most small Twitch streams sit at zero to three viewers, and people browsing a category rarely click a stream that low. That makes it hard for a new streamer to get the first few chatters who make a stream feel alive.
How the trial works
Live viewers only count while you are live. Start your stream, then paste your channel link (twitch.tv/yourname) here with an email address and type in the six-digit code we email you. We never ask for your Twitch login, and each account and email can claim once.
After the trial
If you want live viewers on future streams, see the paid Twitch live viewers page for the current options. Viewers on the stream work best together with followers, so the channel page also looks established to new visitors.
Live viewers and the Twitch directory
Twitch lists live channels in each category by how many people are watching right now. A stream with one or two viewers sits at the bottom of that list, where few people scroll. A higher viewer count moves a stream up the directory and makes it look worth joining for the viewers who do find it.
Making the most of the free trial
Live viewers only count while you are live, so claim the trial when your stream is running or about to start. Use it on a stream where you can talk to chat and keep new viewers entertained, since that is what turns a visit into a follow. For future streams, Twitch live viewers and followers are available.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be live to claim?
Yes. Viewers join a live stream, so claim once you are streaming.
Which link do I paste?
Your channel page, twitch.tv/yourname.
Will viewers chat?
No. Live viewers raise the viewer count. Chat comes from your real audience.
Do you need my password?
No, only the channel link and an email address.
Can I claim twice?
No, one claim per account and email address.

“As an agency we are picky about what we put in front of clients. This delivers — real growth, straight answers, support that turns up.”
