Followers make a Twitch channel worth a look

Your follower count shows on your Twitch channel page, and followers are the people who see you in their Following list when you go live and can be notified when your stream starts. For a viewer who lands on your stream, the count is a quick read on whether the channel is established or brand new.

Followers and Twitch Affiliate

To be invited to Twitch Affiliate, a channel needs at least 50 followers, along with 500 minutes broadcast and 7 unique broadcast days in the last 30 days, and an average of 3 or more concurrent viewers. Followers are only one of those four requirements: the others depend on you streaming regularly and on people actually watching. Twitch's rules also forbid artificially inflating channel numbers, so treat followers as a way to make your channel look established, not as a shortcut past the viewer requirement.

Pricing

• Worldwide: $2.05 for 100 followers.

When followers help most

• On a new channel, so first-time visitors do not see a near-empty count.
• Before a scheduled event, such as a launch stream or a collaboration with another streamer.
• Alongside steady streaming: a schedule on your channel page and consistent hours are what turn visitors into regulars.

How it works

Paste your Twitch channel link and check out. Followers are added over a day or two. We only need the public channel link, never your login.

Price and delivery

Twitch followers are $2.05 for 100, worldwide. Larger orders are multiples of 100, with a package discount that grows with the order: 5% off two or three packs, 10% off four or five, and 15% off ten or twenty. Followers are usually delivered within one to two days of your order.

Which link to use

Use your channel link, twitch.tv/yourname. Copy it from your browser's address bar while viewing your channel. Do not use a clip, VOD or stream link: followers are added to the channel itself. Make sure the username is spelled exactly as it appears on Twitch.

How many followers to order

The goal is to take your channel past the stage where it looks brand new. For most new streamers, a first order of 100 to 300 followers does that. Grow from there in steps, alongside your own streaming. A channel with 20,000 followers and two viewers per stream looks odd to anyone who drops in; one with 400 followers and a regular schedule looks like a channel on its way up.

Set up your channel page

• Profile picture and banner that match your other platforms.
• A schedule, set in your creator dashboard, so visitors know when you are live.
• Panels under your stream with your socials, Discord, rules and setup.
• A short bio that says what you stream and who it is for.
• A trailer or highlight for people who visit while you are offline.

Followers, viewers and chat

Followers are the long-term number on your channel and the people who can be notified when you go live. The viewer count during a stream decides where you appear in a category's directory. Chat is what makes a stream feel alive. All three matter, and they do different jobs. Many streamers add followers ahead of time, then focus on talking to every chatter during the stream, because that is what turns a visitor into a regular.

A worked example

A streamer who plays cosy games sets a three-nights-a-week schedule and adds panels for their Discord and socials. Before announcing the schedule on TikTok, they order 200 followers ($3.90 with the 5% package discount). Viewers who click through from TikTok land on a channel that already has a following, a clear schedule and somewhere to chat between streams, and many of them follow too.

Grow between streams

Most Twitch growth happens off Twitch. Clip your best moments and post them on TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X with a link to your channel. Join your community's Discord servers and take part. Collaborate with streamers of a similar size for raids and co-streams. Every one of those routes sends people to your channel page, where the follower count is one of the first things they notice.

Keep a regular schedule

Followers can be notified when you go live, but notifications only turn into viewers if people know what to expect. Streaming at the same times each week builds habits for your real followers and makes your channel look dependable to new visitors. A consistent schedule is the single most useful thing a small streamer can do.

Before you order

• Check your channel is active and not suspended.
• Copy your channel link, twitch.tv/yourname.
• Set up your panels, schedule and profile first.
• Plan a stream for the days after delivery, so new followers have something to be notified about.

Followers from raids and hosts

When another streamer raids your channel, their viewers arrive mid-stream and look at your follower count to decide whether to stay and follow. A channel that already has a following looks like one worth sticking with. Return the favour: raid streamers of a similar size at the end of your streams, and build friendships in your category that bring viewers back and forth.
