Follow the community's rules

Shares do not protect a post from moderators. Read the subreddit's rules before posting, especially in communities with strict rules on links and self-promotion. A post that is removed cannot be helped by any number of shares.

Crossposting your own post

Reddit lets you crosspost a post to another subreddit, where it links back to the original. If your post fits more than one community and their rules allow it, a crosspost is a natural way to reach more readers. Every crosspost and share sends a few more people to the original thread.

Check each subreddit's rules on crossposts first: some communities do not allow them, and some require a flair or a specific format for shared content.
