Tips To Get More Views on Twitter | SMMSUMO

1. Add captions to your videos

Even though Facebook now auto-plays videos on the mobile News Feed with sound, it’s unclear how many people watch videos with the sound on. Facebook users can disable the auto-play-with-sound feature, and videos will auto-play without sound if the mobile phone is on silent mode.
My hunch is that most Facebook users still watch videos without sound.
If a viewer can’t understand your video without the sound, you would likely lose that viewer and the opportunity to convey your message to her.
To prevent that, you can add captions to your videos through Facebook. When you are uploading your video onto Facebook, there’s an option to upload a SRT file of your captions. You can also add captions to existing Facebook videos by editing the video.

2. Give a preview of the video in your copy

Here’s another way to write your Facebook video copy: Briefly describe your video using your copy.
Taking the time to watch a video can be a time commitment. Sometimes, it can help to provide a little information about your video in your copy so that people can quickly decide if it’d be worth their time to watch your video.
Facebook recommends “pulling out a key quote or moment from the video as the text component of your post” in order to set up the expectations of what will be seen in the video.
An informative copy about the video, coupled with a relevant thumbnail, can be a great formula for attracting people’s attention as they scroll through their News Feed.
Here’re a couple examples:

3. Use Twitter Video to Share Value

People love content that enlightens and teaches them something new.
Thus, it’s not surprising that How-to-video are especially popular on Twitter…as are videos that share tips and hacks.
So, create and share educational or instructional videos that bring real value to your audience – make them hungry for more such content!
It may seem that there’s very little you can teach in the 140 seconds, but the time constraint can actually be a hidden blessing.

4. Use hashtags

You could also use hashtags instead of using keywords all the time. Hashtags will give your tweets a different dimension. Instead of not only being found by twitter’s search engine they will also be found when people look for tweets with those hashtags. This should give your tweets even more exposure. So try and make those keywords into hashtags. First look at your initial tweets and see which of the words can be made into hashtags by adding the # sign. Then add some keywords at the end of the tweets and make them into hashtags too.Just like I mentioned in the first point if your tweet is about mobile devices you could use the hashtags #tech, #technology or #mobile. Just using two to three per tweet should be enough.

5. Go Live

Videos focused on a live event increase favorability of a brand by a whopping 63%, so tap into this by using live, real-time video with Periscope. You could showcase the launch of a new product or give insights into an event you’re hosting; whatever even you’re capturing, having a live video feed builds excitement and inspires engagement.

6. Choose Native Video

Rather than sharing video from other sites, upload directly to Twitter. Much like Facebook, Twitter’s autoplay feature for native video has been proven to increase views and user engagement.

7. Use Keywords

People will not only look for tweets in their feed, but they will also search for them through Twitter’s search engine. The number of people who search for tweets will probably not be as many as those who browse through the feed. But if you optimize them for Twitter search, more people will be likely to find them through searches made. So make sure you add the most popular and effective keywords to your tweets For example if your tweet is about Pinterest, you can add keywords like Pinterest, social media, if your tweet is on the subject of Mobile you will need to add keywords like Mobile, technology, tech, if it’s about necklaces, you can add keywords like fashion, accessories, etc.
So research what words are searched more often on Twitter and add those keywords to your tweets, so that they get found more easily.
